Questions for 2022 Legislative Candidates

Please use these questions as a starting point for discussion and evaluation of your candidates.

This list is compiled from numerous sources and will be updated as our members request additional topics that are aligned with CHDAZ’s mission. We hope you’ll share results with your neighbors (district teams are encouraged to compile results for sharing with other Defenders via CHDAZ website.)

1. Do you support U.S. H.R.419 to defund the World Health Organization? This bill prohibits the United States from providing any assessed or voluntary contributions to the World Health Organization.
2. Do you support U.S. H.R.3860 to prohibit COVID vaccination mandates in the US military? This bill prohibits the use of federal funds to require a member of the Armed Forces to receive a COVID-19 vaccination. The bill also prohibits adverse action (e.g., punishment) being taken against a member of the Armed Forces because the member refuses to receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
3. Do you support legislation that prohibits government vaccine mandates?
4. Do you support legislation that protects individuals from private vaccine mandates?
5. Do you support legislation that protects parents rights to make vaccine decisions for their children?
6. Do you support a bipartisan, independent investigation into the origin of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and, if appropriate, proceedings to hold accountable those responsible?
7. Do you oppose the establishment and funding of the Disinformation Governance Board (DGB) and any other government efforts to suppress free speech?
8. Do you oppose legislation that increases surveillance and distribution of private medical information (e.g. Ducey 12/15/22 Executive Order, Enhanced Surveillance Advisory?)
9. Do you oppose future funding of gain-of-function research?
